Fifa Men's Coach of the year



The contenders for the 2015 FIFA World Coach of the Year for Men's Football have been announced. The following coaches remain in the running for this illustrious award, having been selected by Committee for Women’s Football and FIFA Women’s World Cup and by the FIFA Football Committee, as well as by a group of experts from France Football. Make sure to check back on 30 November to discover which of them make the final three-strong shortlist, with the winner set to be announced on 11 January 2016 at the FIFA Ballon d'Or Gala.

The Candidates



Massimiliano ALLEGRI

ITALY
A coach since 2003, former midfielder Massimiliano Allegri is the latest heavyweight tactician from the Serie A production line.



Carlo ANCELOTTI

ITALY
Carlo Ancelotti is one of the most heralded and decorated coaches in world football across two decades at the top of the game, who saw Real Madrid match Barcelona's staggering league tally of 30 wins last season.



Laurent BLANC

FRANCE
So often under the microscope during the early part of his Paris Saint-Germain reign, Laurent Blanc silenced his doubters in 2015 by winning every trophy going in France, claiming the Ligue 1 crown, French Cup and French League Cup before adding a third consecutive French Super Cup.



Unai EMERY

SPAIN
A masterful strategist famed for his skilled squad management, Unai Emery faced a sizeable challenge with Sevilla in 2014/15: to rebuild a side that had lost a clutch of key performers, including captain Ivan Rakitic, signed by Barcelona.



Pep GUARDIOLA

SPAIN


Pep Guardiola had to make do with just one trophy in his second season at Bayern Munich, though the Catalan coach’s stats at the helm of the Bavarian giants were once again highly impressive.



LUIS ENRIQUE

SPAIN
The Asturias-born coach could barely have enjoyed a better first season on the bench of Barcelona, the 45-year-old supremo leadingLos Culés to their second ever treble of La Liga, El Copa del Rey and UEFA Champions League.



Jose MOURINHO

PORTUGAL
Once again, 2015 was a trophy-laden year for the self-styled ‘Special One’ having completed his hat-trick of Premier League titles with Chelsea and winning the Premier League Manager of the Year Award too.



Jorge SAMPAOLI

ARGENTINA
At the age of 55, Jorge Sampaoli enjoyed the greatest achievement of his coaching career so far, by guiding Chile to a historic first-ever triumph in the Copa America.



Diego SIMEONE

ARGENTINA
In his fourth year in the dugout at Atletico de Madrid, making him the longest serving current coach in Spain’s La Liga, Argentinian task-master Diego Pablo Simeone has succeeded in keeping Los Colchoneros battling it out amongst the European football elite.



Arsene WENGER

FRANCE
Arsenal fans rejoiced on 2 August 2015 as the Gunners won the FA Community Shield for a second straight year against the Premier League champions, Arsene Wenger beginning his 20thseason at the helm by defeating Chelsea.
