Anything we do in our life requires certain rules to follow, and so do our workouts. You can’t just break into the gym and start running from one training machine to another one. You need to prepare your body throughout the day, keep a special workout schedule while training and follow the right relaxation tips afterwards.

Before the workout:
1- Water

It is necessary to drink water not only while doing your workouts but also throughout the day. It takes a couple of hours for your body to absorb the water, so you can’t just drink right before exercise. It is necessary that you stay hydrated all day long so make it a habit to drink at least 2 liters of water a day.
2- Protein

Protein is essential  to consume every day as it is one of the main sources of muscles growth and health. It is recommended to choose whey or soy protein for your successful cardio and strength workout outcomes.
3- Proper meal

It is especially important to watch after what you are eating acouple of hours before the workout.Avoid higher-fat meals for up to four hours before. It is better to eat something carb-containing like banana. It is able to boost your energy and fuel your body enough for the successful training.

During the workout:
4- Pick a cardio exercise you enjoy

It’s no fun to exercise if you hate it. And you won’t keep it up for very long. Pick something that’s fun — running, walking, swimming, biking, hiking, rowing, stair master, and so on. After the initial phase when you’re getting used to exercise, you’ll start to have a blast and look forward to it.
5- Bring changes all the time

Don’t stick to the same workout routine for too long, or your body will adjust to the stress level and you won’t be getting an effective workout. For strength training, change your routine every few weeks. For cardio, it’s best to cross train rather than, say, to run every time.
6- Don’t over workout

People tend to be anxious about the results of their workouts. That’s why they all do one mistake – spendingtoo much time of training with a maximum intensity. For the better outcome you must choose whether to spend up to 30-40 minutesworking out with a high intensity or slow it down a bit but continue exercising for longer.
After the workout:
7- Cool down

After each set of workouts and the whole training in general it is important to cool downand to help your heart to get back to its normal heartbeat. Along with that you will help your muscles rest for a while therefore not over straining them.
8- Do stretches

Stretch your musclesafter each workout and in the end of training to avoid muscles fever. There is also one tip – make a hot bath and relax for 20 minutes. This will allow your muscles rest after workout of any kind of intensity and will reduce the time needed for your body to reload its energy.
9- Follow the plan

If you take all of these tips into account, the ideal plan would be to alternate 2-3 days ofhigh-intensity strength training with 2-3 days of high-intensity cardio. You could get by with 4 days of exercise if you do them at high intensity.

Mrs Eunice Ortom, wife of Benue State governor, on Sunday, said that the state was now ranked ninth in the current HIV/AIDS prevalence rating in the country.
Ortom, who is also the Chairman, Board of Governors for Benue State AIDS Control Agency (BENSACA), said this during the launch of the 'Guinness World Record on HIV Test’ in Markurdi, the state capital.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reported that the HIV/ AIDS prevalence rate by states in Nigeria was published by National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA) after the 2013 National AIDS Reproductive Health Survey.

The rating also came as a result of test carried out on persons living with HIV/AIDS. It showed that Rivers State with 15.5 per cent topped the new prevalence chat, Taraba State with 10.5 per cent is second, while Kaduna has 9.2 per cent to be on the third.
Nasarawa, FCT, Akwa Ibom, Sokoto and Oyo are on the fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth spots respectively on the prevalence rate chart.

She said Benue had over the years been rated highest in HIV and AIDS prevalence, adding that with such laudable HIV test event, it was indicative that the journey to achieving zero case was just a mile away.'

She added that "Benue had the highest HIV/ AIDS prevalence rate in Nigeria, but due to the dedicated and collaborative efforts of BENSACA and other partners, the state had been lifted to be the ninth in the country.
"Our focus over the years is to get to zero prevalence, which implies zero infections, zero HIV-related deaths and zero discrimination against persons with the virus.

The BENSACA chairman quoted a World Health Organisation (WHO) report which indicated that 7,000 persons were newly infected with the virus everyday in spite of the global adoption of getting to zero case. She said AHF planned to break the Guinness World Record on HIV test by testing 10,000 persons and issuing results to all in eight hours, thereby ensuring that people got
access to testing and counseling services as urgently as possible.

The governor’s wife said "the concept of testing 10,000 persons and producing
results within eight hours is, therefore, not just an exercise for the purpose of breaking the Guinness World Record, but to send a strong message to the world.

"The message is that testing is the first step to prevention and treatment of HIV and AIDS and everyone needs to know his or her status," she said.
In achieving zero prevalence, Mrs Ortom said it was critical to target epidemic hot spots in mega cities to ensure equitable access to quality, cost effective HIV
prevention and programmes, among others.

A man who spent his younger years as a lanky chap has revealed his transformation into a muscular giant.
Once skinny and 6ft 8in, Martyn Ford was just like any other young man with no interest in muscle mass. But now he's a tattooed and muscular beast - with a career in acting and weightlifting .
He said of the photo above

Sometimes I still see myself as I was, and anyone who has ever been in this position I would imagine do so the same! On the left I was around 12 stone, which at 6'8 is not a great weight! Been this skinny was the worst time of my life, if you've ever been there, you know what I mean. So now , ten years on, I still feel I have a way to go, it's a long process and will I ever be happy? Who knows, when I say my biggest challenge is the man in the mirror, you see why! I couldn't care how good or bad the man next to me in the gym looks, I do this for me and no one else!
